Travis Kelce just secured one of the most high-profile podcast guests imaginable — global pop icon Taylor Swift — in what could be the biggest episode yet for the New Heights podcast.
The NFL star, who co-hosts the show with his brother and fellow football player Jason Kelce, appeared alongside Swift in a newly released teaser posted to Instagram. The short clip immediately sent fans into a frenzy.
In the teaser, Swift compliments Travis Kelce on his blue sweater, prompting a flirtatious response:
“Yes, I know. It’s the color of your eyes, sweetie. That’s why we match so well.”
The episode is set to drop Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET, and anticipation is already building among both Swifties and football fans alike.
A First for the Podcast — and a Milestone for Kelce
New Heights, which launched on September 8, 2022, has featured numerous celebrity guests, but this marks the first time Swift will appear as a guest on the show. Despite her absence from past episodes, the brothers have mentioned her multiple times — and her presence has been a recurring part of Kelce’s public narrative over the past year.
Back in April 2023, Travis revealed on the podcast that he had crafted a friendship bracelet for Swift with his phone number on it. He’d hoped to give it to her during her Eras Tour performance, marking the beginning of their now well-documented relationship.
Swift later confirmed in a December 2023 interview with Time magazine that the two “started hanging out right after that” — a comment that cemented their connection in the public eye and sent media outlets into overdrive.
A Rare Podcast Appearance for Swift
While Swift is no stranger to interviews, her podcast appearances are few and far between. She’s previously appeared on The Zach Sang Show and Apple Music’s The Zane Lowe Show, but has rarely stepped into the broader podcast circuit.
Her decision to join New Heights is particularly notable given its sports-meets-pop-culture format — a blend of worlds she and Kelce now straddle together.
The Big Reveal: Swift’s 12th Studio Album
Swift used the moment to drop major news for fans. At exactly 12:12 a.m. ET on Tuesday, she announced the title of her highly anticipated 12th studio album: “The Life of a Showgirl.”
When the countdown clock ended, New Heights posted another preview clip of the upcoming episode. In it, Swift unveils her album cover — though it was strategically blurred in the teaser, leaving fans guessing and sparking speculation across social media.
A Power Couple With Billionaire Status
Swift isn’t just one of the most influential musicians in the world — she’s also the richest female musician alive, with an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion as of May 2024, according to Bloomberg.
Kelce, for his part, has built a career that now bridges sports, media, and pop culture. The New Heights podcast has already hosted an impressive lineup of guests, including Brad Pitt, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and LeBron James — the latter also part of the billionaire club. Swift’s upcoming episode will likely become one of the podcast’s most downloaded installments yet.
Cultural Crossovers and Audience Buzz
The Kelce–Swift romance has already blurred the lines between NFL fandom and the global pop music scene. Swift’s appearance on New Heights not only amplifies that crossover but also reinforces her ongoing ability to make news outside the traditional music cycle.
For Kelce, it’s a career milestone that extends his influence beyond football, cementing New Heights as a platform capable of drawing A-list guests from far beyond the sports world.
Representatives for Kelce and Swift did not immediately respond to Local press’s requests for comment outside regular hours.
